Botanical Illustration
This form has a long history starting about 4000 years ago in Mesopotamia and Egypt. Later travelers around the world introduced plants and herbs from far off places to their European communities. Today we draw and paint our specimens with the same tradition, paying close attention to the details of each plant, accurate color and specific genres.

These are original pen and ink drawings in black and white or color. All I require is a photo of the building. You may request a change of season , landscaping or personal inscriptions.

These are samples of my collage and mixed media work. They start with an arbitrary background of watercolor and then a layering process of glued pieces of torn newspaper (NYTimes) , more watercolor, more paper and in some cases pen and ink work as well. Some have specific themes, all of them deal with the space that exists in a landscape. Many of them recycle newspaper articles from the NY Times.
